１ペテロ ２：１１〜１２11 愛する者たちよ。あなたがたにお勧めします。旅人であり寄留者であるあなたがたは、たましいに戦いをいどむ肉の欲を遠ざけなさい。
12 異邦人の中にあって、りっぱにふるまいなさい。そうすれば、彼らは、何かのことであなたがたを悪人呼ばわりしていても、あなたがたのそのりっぱな行いを見て、おとずれの日に神をほめたたえるようになります。

1.私たちは旅人

ピリピ３：２０「けれども、私たちの国籍は天にあります。そこから主イエス・キリストが救い主としておいでになるのを、私たちは待ち望んでいます。」

2.肉の欲を遠ざけなさい

ヨハネ第一の手紙 ２：１６「この世にあるすべてのもの、すなわち、肉の欲、目の欲、暮らし向きの自慢などは、御父から出たものではなく、この世から出たものだからです。」

3.りっぱな歩みをしなさい

ヨハネ１３：１５「わたしがあなたがたにしたとおりに、あなたがたもするようにと、わたしがあなたがたに模範を示したのです。」

12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

1. We Are Travelers

Philippians 3:20 (NIV): But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Stay Away from Sinful Desires

1 John 2:16 (NIV): For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
