8 最後に、皆、心を一つにし、同情し合い、兄弟愛を示し、あわれみ深く、謙遜でありなさい。
9 悪に対して悪を返さず、侮辱に対して侮辱を返さず、かえって祝福を与えなさい。あなたがたは祝福を受け継ぐために召されたのです。
10 「いのちを愛し、幸いな日々を過ごしたいと願う者は、
舌を悪から、唇を偽りのことばから遠ざけ、
11 悪を避けて善を行い、
平和を求め、それを追い求めよ。
12 主の目は正しい人たちの上にあり、
主の耳は彼らの祈りに傾けられる。
しかし、主の御顔は悪を行う者に立ち向かう。」
