１ペテロ３：１８−２２
18 キリストも一度罪のために苦しみを受けられました。正しい方が、正しくない者たちの身代わりになられたのです。それは、肉においては死に渡され、霊においては生かされて、あなたがたを神のみもとに導くためでした。
19 キリストは、この霊において、囚われの霊たちのところに行って宣べ伝えられました。
20 彼らは、ノアの時代に、箱舟が造られていた間、神が忍耐して待っておられたのに、従わなかった者たちです。その箱舟に乗り込んだのは、わずかに八人だけで、水を通って救われました。
21 この水は、今あなたがたをも救うバプテスマ（洗礼）の型です。それは、肉体の汚れを取り除くことではなく、神に正しい良心を願い求めることです。それは、イエス・キリストの復活によるのです。
22 キリストは、天に昇って、神の右におられます。御使いたちも、権威ある者たちも、勢力ある者たちも、キリストに従わせられたのです。

1.キリストの死は復活と永遠の命を与えた
ルカ１６：２２〜２３「貧しい人は死んで、御使いたちによってアブラハムの懐に連れて行かれた。金持ちも死んで葬られた。そして、ハデスで苦しみながら目を上げると、アブラハムが遠くに見え、その懐にラザロがいるのが見えた。」
