礼拝：Worship “Worth”-“ship” 最も価値のあるお方と関係を持つ
奉仕：serve, service
① service = worship（礼拝）
② service = ministry（働き・務め）
③ service = devotion（献身）
2聖書の中での初めの礼拝と奉仕
1 人は、その妻エバを知った。彼女はみごもってカインを産み、「私は、主によってひとりの男子を得た」と言った。
2 彼女は、それからまた、弟アベルを産んだ。アベルは羊を飼う者となり、カインは土を耕す者となった。
3 ある時期になって、カインは、地の作物から主へのささげ物を持って来たが、
4 アベルもまた彼の羊の初子の中から、それも最上のものを持って来た、主はアベルとそのささげ物とに目を留められた。
5 だが、カインとそのささげ物には目を留められなかった。それで、カインはひどく怒り、顔を伏せた。
6 そこで、主は、カインに仰せられた。「なぜ、あなたは憤っているのか。なぜ、顔を伏せているのか。
7 あなたは正しく行ったのであれば、受け入れられる。ただし、あなたが正しく行っていないのなら、罪は戸口で待ち伏せして、あなたを恋い慕っている。だが、あなたは、それを治めるべきである。」
8 しかし、カインはアベルに話しかけた、「野に行こうではないか。」そして、ふたりが野にいたとき、カインは弟アベルに襲いかかり、彼を殺した。

1. Worship and Service
Worship
“Worth-ship” — having a relationship with the One who is of ultimate worth.
Service
Service = Worship
Service = Ministry (work, duty)
Service = Devotion
2. The First Worship and Service in the Bible
4 Adam[a] made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain.[b] She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth[c] a man.” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”[d] While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
