5 こういうわけですから、あなたがたは、あらゆる努力をして、信仰には徳を、徳には知識を、
6 知識には自制を、自制には忍耐を、忍耐には敬虔を、
7 敬虔には兄弟愛を、兄弟愛には愛を加えなさい。
8 これらがあなたがたに備わり、ますます豊かになるなら、あなたがたは、私たちの主イエス・キリストを知る点で、役に立たない者とか、実を結ばない者になることはありません。
9 これらを備えていない者は、近視眼であり、盲目であって、自分の以前の罪がきよめられたことを忘れてしまったのです。

エペソ２：１０「私たちは神の作品であって、良い行いをするためにキリスト・イエスにあって造られたのです。神は、私たちが良い行いに歩むように、その良い行いをあらかじめ備えてくださいました。」

ヘブル12：１「忍耐をもって、私たちの前に置かれている競走を走り続けようではありませんか。」

１テモテ４：８「からだの鍛錬もわずかながら益がありますが、敬虔はすべてのことに益があり、今のいのちと来るべきいのちの約束があるからです。」
⑦兄弟愛
マタイ２２：３７〜３９「イエスは言われた。『心を尽くし、いのちを尽くし、思いを尽くして、あなたの神、主を愛しなさい。』これが、最大の、また第一の戒めです。第二のものも、これと同じように重要です。『あなたの隣人をあなた自身のように愛しなさい。』」
「Be Fruitful」
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
James 2:17 – In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Proverbs 25:28 – Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
5. Perseverance
Hebrews 12:1 – …let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
6. Godliness
1 Timothy 4:8 – For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
7. Mutual Affection (Brotherly Love)
Matthew 22:37–39 – Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
